AIRR Community Working Groups are focused on specific questions and are expected to disband when their stated goals are accomplished. These international groups work on topics ranging from the validation and designation of germline V genes for IMGT to repository, software and data standards, to addressing legal and ethical issues arising from the production, use and sharing of AIRR-seq data, to meeting planning. Natural networks of collaboration arise organically from these highly interactive projects.
AIRR Community Working Groups comprise of one or more leaders (two Co-leaders are recommended) and members meet regularly throughout the year to work on their specific mandates. Members of Working Groups do not have to be official members of the AIRR-C; however Co-leaders must be AIRR-C members.
