Member Privacy
The Antibody Society respects member privacy rights and is committed to protecting the personal information of our members.
Upon registration, all members select a member category (Standard, Corporate Sponsor, Student, Post-doctoral, AIRR Community), username and password, and they provide an email address. For Standard members who pay via credit card, we also collect:
Name
Billing address
Phone number
Credit card details
Credit card details are used by third-party vendors (authorize.net and Cayan) to authenticate and charge credit cards. Credit card details are not retained by the Society.
As a member-based professional organization, we may contact our members via email to provide them with content relevant to Society business, such as member benefits (e.g., discount codes for meeting registration fees) and the availability of new information on the website. Members may ‘opt-out’ of communications from the Society at any time by requesting that we cease communication. We may contact non-members via email on an occasional basis to invite their participation in the Society when we believe we have legitimate interests in making the initial contacts. In such contacts, non-members will be given an opportunity to ‘opt-in’ by becoming a member or ‘opt-out’ of communications from the Society by requesting that we cease communication.
We are committed to transparency and will provide you with information regarding our collection and use of personal data. You may contact us at info@antibodysociety.org if you want to know more about any aspect of how we handle your personal information. Upon request, we will provide confirmation of what personal data we hold and provide a copy of the data. Members may exercise their right to be forgotten at any time. Upon request, we will remove all your details from our member roll.
